Meet John R. Varoscak, D.D.S., F.A.C.D., F.I.C.D.
Dr. John Varoscak is a former faculty member of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, Harvard University School of Dental Medicine and the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He was a founding member of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health. He was Section Chief of Periodontics in the Department of Dentistry at Beth Israel Medical Center, NYC and Education Director of the New York County Dental Society. Dr Varoscak has taught periodontology and pain management techniques to countless students and dentists, and has lectured and participated in numerous continuing education courses in the United States and internationally. Dr Varoscak has a sub-specialty in the diagnosis and treatment of orofacial pain and has published on this subject. He is also licensed to perform enteral sedation, which is a great benefit to patients who may be fearful of undergoing dental or oral surgical procedures.
Dr. Albert Kurpis

Dr. Kurpis presently serves as the Clinical Director of the Oral Systemic Evaluation Center.
Meet Dr. Albert Kurpis
Dr. Kurpis received his doctorate degree from Columbia University, School of Dental Medicine, in 1974. Upon graduation, he was immediately asked back to Columbia to serve as a teacher of Prosthodontics while continuing his research on dental implants on primate baboons. His research on the influence of dental implant design on osseous tissue culminated in being granted a U.S. Patent for the ‘dental implant’ in 1988.
Over the past four decades Dr. Kurpis has published and lectured both nationally and internationally on the subjects of dental implants and full mouth reconstruction on the advanced deteriorated dentition. He was a founding member of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health. He is a member of numerous dental organizations, most notably an Honored Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry where he served as a past president of its northeast section. He is also a Life Fellow of the prestigious Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Kurpis presently serves as the Clinical Director of the Oral Systemic Evaluation Center. Here he coordinates dental treatment for patients who may be at risk for complications prior to receiving advanced medical treatments and/or procedures. The Oral Systemic Evaluation Center is a cutting edge facility offering dental clearance not often found in the typical dental office.
